NOLA AURA

Our Story

A Story in Every Grain

NOLA AURA began with a simple frustration: leather goods that looked handmade but were built to be replaced within a few seasons. We wanted the opposite — pieces that show their maker's hand and get better with wear, not worse.

Every hide we use is traceable to a small, rural farm before it ever reaches a tannery. We don't work with suppliers who can't answer where a hide came from — that's not a marketing line, it's a sourcing requirement. From there, each batch is logged by an individual artisan, cut by hand to respect the hide's natural grain, and saddle-stitched with waxed thread rather than machine-sewn or glued. It's slower. It also lasts decades longer.

We're a small team, based between Europe and the UK, and we intend to stay that way. Every piece that leaves the workshop is still checked by someone who knows the person who cut it.
